Garbage classification and recycling are encouraged. Use non-poisonous paint for containers and refrigerant R134a for reefer containers. We request our suppliers/chartered vessels to comply with international environmental requirements.
Vessel – We comply with international conventions and implement environmental measures to avoid ocean pollution. Sludge oil, air emission, ocean pollution, garbage and fuel saving are the first priorities for the vessel’s environmental protection programs:
Crew training—Add the pollution training in the crew courses and implement the training once per six months. Make sure all the crew well know that what kind of pollutions the vessels may cause, and what prevention actions shouldbe taken and be implemented in daily operation. Crew should understand garbage minimization and classificationas well.
Sludge oil -- Delivering all sludge oil to certified units on shore and keeping a complete record of such deliveries.
Air Emissions
a.
Using low-sulfur fuel in our fleet according to the IMO MARPOL Annex VI standard. The maximum sulfur content in the fuel is not to exceed 1.5% (m/m) in SOx emission control areas (SECA), and the maximum sulfur content in the fuel is not to exceed 4.5% (m/m) beyond the SECA.
From 2008, our fleet which operated in USWC trade cooperated to use low sulfur fuel (below 0.5% sulfur) in the auxiliary engine when vessels are 24 miles before arriving Los Angeles and Oakland, and slow down speed to 12 knots
or below when vessels are 20 miles before arriving Los Angeles. We also have vessels using low sulfur fuel (0.2% sulfur or less) in the main engines when they are 20 miles before arriving Los Angeles.
b.
Ensuring that new vessels have suitable designs to meet the regulations of CO2 and NOx emissions and each vessel has got certification of EIAPP (Engine International Air Pollution Prevention) and IAPP (International Air Pollution Prevention).
Ocean Pollution a.Sewage—Handling sewage with sewage treatment device, which shall be kept in functional condition at all times. b.Ballast water- all emissions have to follow IMO Res.A 868 (20). c.Using Tin-free paint on hulls to protect organism in the ocean. d.Implement Safety Management System to make sure safety sailing.

not be allowed to throw into the sea. All ship garbage should be handled as per following steps: a.Incineration: Records shall be maintained for all incinerating. b.On-shore handling: The ashes and garbage shall be delivered to a certified unit on shore and a complete record
kept.
Reduce consumption of fuel and cylinder oil a.We upgrade or adopt new equipment/systems or arrange maintenance for existing vessels to increase efficiency
of consuming fuel and cylinder oil. b.We implement an annual fuel saving plan. Our fleet is sailed at economical speeds when the schedule allows and
via weather routing to reduce consumption of fuel oil, and we also arrange underwater polishing of propellers. c.Newly built vessels use silicon-based paint as hull paint and are equipped with shaft generator to reduce fuel
