About Us

Kuang Ming Shipping Corp., one of the subsidiary companies of Yang Ming Group, was established in May 1990. She was originally operated as a shipping agency company to handle the import/export forwarder business in/out Taiwan on behalf of Yang Ming Group. In November 1999, Kuang Ming purchased two container ships to start intra- Asia liner service. Thereafter, to follow together with the development strategy of Yang Ming Group, Kuang Ming’s business activity was temporary suspended from July 2002. However, along with the rapidly expansion on tramp business during recent booming bulk market, Yang Ming Group decided to spin-off her bulk business to Kuang Ming Shipping Corp. from 1st October, 2008 , who will continuously keep Yang Ming Group’s core value of “Teamwork-oriented, Innovative, Honest and Pragmatic” to provide our customers the best service.
